I've never used Tokicos, but I put a set of Bilsteins on the back of my previous car, a Porsche 944, and they were great.
If you're looking for cheap, have you considered KYB? I've read goo things about them, too.

I have the Tokico and have been very pleased. Don't forget the bumpstops.
I put the Ilumina kit (adj shocks/struts and stiffer springs) on mine and I love it.

I've used Tokico Illuminas (adjustable) on a crx and integra, which were great. The regular HP Tokicos were not that good IMO. KYB were really good and less expensive than the Tokicos ( on an integra ). Bilsteins on my Volvo 850 are very good, but not cheap.
I love my Koni SA's on the bimmer, also not cheap. You can get a set for around 5-600. If you get Tokico, get the Illuminas with the adjustable feature. It's worth paying the extra money for the adjustables. WHile you're changing the dampers also do the springs and RSM's and other components.
