1994 540iA. No body kit, just BBS RX and Eibachs (so it's lowered).

eh... the rx is very close to the CSL rim.

hmmm... i'd get some overlays and try it out for a bit with the bmw centercaps.

but dont put the overlays right on the bbs cap- you wont be able to go back.

i'm just thinking it might look better to be looking oem-ish on a slightly modded car.

I always love the look of the BMW centers.

Yes, that looks hot.

Thanks!

My theory is this:

If the wheel looks natural (meaning it could pass as stock, or in the spirit of stock), I think its fine. Since BBS makes some of BMW's factory wheels (I don't know how many, but I know some), I figured it was atleast in the spirit.. pretty similar to CSL wheels but not quite.

If a wheel looks far from factory, I wouldn't put roundels on them. Just my taste... YMMV

I like the BBS centers much better. They are much higher quality as well. I kept them on mine. I'm kind of surprised so many people are recommending the BMW ones. I didn't even think it was much of a contest between the two. It's all about personal preference though.

Do the BMW centercaps fit most BMW-fitment wheels?

I'm interested in fitting BMW centercaps for forged Shuk WR1s.

This pic shows the 17 x 9, +48 offset. I'd like to run this wheel on my E36 M3/4 fr/rr with 15-mm spacers front, and 5-mm spacers rr, with 245/40-17 tires.

The Shuk WR1s are 20.3 lbs per Tire Rack's specs.

Your original ones may or may not fit but even if they don't it shouldn't be too difficult to find ones that do. I am fairly certain that they can be found in most if not all sizes.

I was intending for these to be a motorsports application, and centercaps don't need to be on the car for wheels that have 245/40-17 Hoosiers on them :round

I love BBS wheels, but i think they're logo looks like crap, so i'd definitely go with BMW center caps

BBS

I hate seeing BMW roundels on high end aftermarket wheels. Why spend thousands of dollars to change the wheels, only to make it look OEM ? :nono

my shoes ... 19" BBS RG-Rs
