it sounds like a constant sticker is on the wheels and sometimes gets worse when going around a turn. i have recently put 18" alloys on and it is lowered on m3 suspension, but has been fine for over a month. also, when you come to a stop, or at slow speeds it sounds like stones are getting stuck in the brake disk covers especially at the back. any ideas on either of the problems i have here? its a E36 323 i

cheers

This may sound stupid, but have you checked to make sure theres nothing stuck to them like some kind of tape perhaps?

Mine does something of the same, when I turn left it makes a repetetive noise that I can't place (all speeds), sort of ticks like a stone in the tires (no stone). Anyone else with an E36 heard of this and/or how to fix it?

If the noise seems to be coming from the rear, check the CV joints. They typically make noise during turns. Usually the opposite side of the turn.

If it is a repeating clicking noise it is the CV joints, this problem happened with my friend's car. You may not even have to replace them, just some lube.

Check your anti-rattle clips on yer calipers... Do a search for more info.

The same noise happened to me when i swaped out the after market 17" wheels with the stock ones. The suspect could be the use of thinny aftermarket stud bolts on the OEM wheels? Any idea?
