I have a 93 318iS. Green with tan leather. 131k on the clock but the motor/clutch have about 10k on them.

Im going to be a daddy again and I need a 4 door. This will be my 3r and Im not even going ot try to load a child seat in a 2 door bimmer, lol. So Im willing to trade for a 4 door. I dont want trade up (my car plus cash) but I might be willing to for something nice. Please, I dont want, nor will I even consider any E30 model. Or willing to sell outright aswell.

First off, let me explain the motor and why it was replace. The motor was replaced by the old owner of the car because it overheated and warped the head. So he had BMW get a new head strait from Germany (6 week wait) and had the motor (shortblock) rebuilt to ensure it was in perfect shape. Which, it runs perfectly, never a problem yet, nor do I think there will be anytime soon. The clutch/pressure plate were changed at the same time.

The body is in great shape. Not one spot of rust. The car was repainted because of paint fade and rock chips but never ever been in an accident. There is a small dent in the hood from pushing the hood closed by hand instead of just letting the hood close itself.

The interior is in good shape. The seats are mint, carpet in great (even with original floor mats). The headliner is droping tho and the passenger door panel has Bimmer bubble. Other than that minor stuff, everthing else is great.

Sunroof, power windows, power locks, all work.

I have replaced a few things. Heres a list of new parts/replaced parts.

-Brand new (not remaned) Head Strait form BMW Germany
-Rebuilt motor
-New clutch and pressure plate.
-(forgot brand) 16" Electric radiator fan with thermastat
-New Drivers side Gabrial Front Strut (other needs replacing)
-New Rear shocks, replaced by old owner, told they were Bilsteins but uncomfirmed
-Fresh tune up (wires plugs, fuel pump, fuel filter, and fresh oil change)
-New tires, only about 6 months old tops
-New front and rear brakes, pads, rotors, seals, ect.
-New Cat. Convertor
-Some new exhaust pipes
-Pioneer CD player
-Sub and amp
-New OBC, old one read temp wrong
-Viper alarm (dont have the remote, but you can order one easily)
-New water pump
-Clean corners
-Xenon Fogs
-Projection headlights with Angle eyes
-Im sure theres alot Im forgeting

The car runs mint, drives perfectly. Trans shifts like new. Not one complaint about the car at all.

As I said above, Im willing to trade, 92?, 93 newer. I will consider any 4 door bimmer.

Or willing to sell outright. I havent done much research on what to ask for it. I paid 6k for it and put about 1500 more into it in the 6 months Ive owned it.

I would like to get 5500 but willing to work on the price.

Why sell it?

As a daddy and an owner of a 2 door e36, I say you are doing your little one more good by keeping it than trading/selling it. It sounds like it will cost you less to keep it than sell it so I say keep it! The car seat fits fine in the back, and my wife and I are going to be having a second one soon. Sounds like you have a great motor/tranny, so it will be reliable for many more miles.

Just my $.02

Im not a daddy of one tho, this will be my 3rd child. I have a 5 and a 10 year old now. Its hard enough for them to get back there being older.

It would be cheaper to keep it and I know the car will run for years to come without any major work. But I just dont feel like getting 3 kids in the back with a 2 door.

You make a good point. We plan on having 3, so we are just going to cram-em in there. Thank god I have a Thule rack already, so storage won't be a problem... I pretty much refuse to give up coupe!
