Well, I finally installed my intake today.... somewhere along the line I just decided to bend the bracket out of the way. Right now, it's sort of crude (the horns are zip-tied, there's no cushion, and the bracket isn't attached to anything), but i'm planning on putting the finishing touches tomorrow. After double checking to make sure it was secure, I took my car to Home Depot to get some additional parts for my intake cushion....

Even though I got a few cuts and my horns are hanging on for dear life, it was all worth it. The sound is terrific, the power is great, and the response is a helluva lot better than my debaffled airbox. Others have said the sound starts around 4000rpm, but i've noticed, at WOT, the sound will start as low as 2500rpm. I recommend this for anyone who wants an inexpensive mod and more room under the hood. :rolleyes

It has been a pretty long delay, but I finally got my digital camera back and took some pictures.

How does the setup look? The filter is really close to the headlights so I'm not sure if it can be moved even further down.

Yeah, I figured he was just messing with me. Someone else did the math and figured how much air was passing through the tube per second.... basically the air is moving so fast that the heat wouldn't affect it.

The cosmos takes true cold air from outside the engine bay, therefore no heat sheild is needed.

and, BWAAAHAHAHAHHAHAAHA! YOUR USER TITLE! I totally forgot about that episode of Chapelle :rofl
