Help! Problem with Instrument cluster

hi,
The CAr is 1994 325is, with 140171 miles before the PPPPPP which was 2 days ago.

It started out as just turning on and off every 3-4 min i think and now it displays "PPPPPP" instead of the miles. And basically every other guage doesn't work besides the speedometer.
Also i have apicture of what it looks like.


if anyone has the information on that i would greatly appreciate it.

I would suggest checking the plugs in the back of the cluster. There are 2 connectors, maybe one came loose?

Connections are fine any other ideas?? This thing drives me nuts :help

try doing a reset as indicated by this:

not sure if it will help since may just reset the obc.

another thought: you can also try pulling the battery for awhile. maybe it will reset it.

thanks for the input but it only resets OBC not the speedometer any other ideas? Disconnected the battery today for 2 hours and nothing happend to the speedometer :help

at a loss. sorry. might have to $tealer it in for diagnosis. but I will <bump> for you in case someone else has any other ideas ...

with the key in position one or accessory, push the odomoter reset button for five seconds, should test all the guages.

Itried oushing the odometer button and holding it for 5 second and or more and nothing would happen. :help

Well the price of 1000$ is the cost that i will pay to replace the cluster it's 498$, 220$ diagnostic and 250$ labor

Or you could get a used cluster at a salvage yard for $100 or so.
