17" or 18" Alloys?

Opinions on this question? Bearing in mind the roads in Ireland are pretty poor (although the motorways are good), I'm a bit wary as to what 18" will do to my ride quality, but know they'd look better.

Does anyone have any pics of before with 17"/after with 18" on an E36 Coupe?

17's have more rubber so will still provide greater ride comfort - through which less likely to get bent on potholes would be important. Its up to you to decide wether aesthetically they are 'bit enough'..

I've got 17's now so I guess I wouldn't notice that much of a difference, but the more I look at my 17's the smaller they seem to get, so it looks like 18's are on the way!
