Ok, this took every bit of 45 minutes. I didn't take step-by-step pics because it was so easy following the DIY, so here's the finished product. Man, what a boost!! Smoothed out my lows and my mids have much more pep.

Good job. But I think you must tie it somehow so it doesn't move from the bumper.
How is that different to the regular snorkel to the front tho? Just 'larger' right?
Im thinking i dont wanna give up my brake ducts or fog light tho..

Thanks. Actually, there are small little clip-type pieces of plastic on the inside of the bumper that the hose fits over and holds it in place. Almost like they were made to accept the 4" tube.

My brake ducts dissapeared long ago and the '92 318i didn't come with fog lights. BTW, a couple of the DIY threads that cover fogging the airbox say that there is no appreciable gain from directing the hose to the front and causing the air to be forced in. They say just place the hose behind the fog lights and that is sufficient. Tie it down though.
