My ABS light and the traction light keep turning on. I went to the dealership and they said that it might be the wheel speed sensors. Is there any way to tell which one it is without hooking it up to a computer? Would it make sense that it could be the back sensors since the traction control light goes on also?

mine did this too, it was the relay to the abs

Mine does this sometimes also. I pulled and cleaned all the sensors-broke 1 and replaced it-and the problem went away for a while. Now it's back. Maybe I'll try the relay.

Could be a wheel speed sensor, if you let BMW hook it up to one of their new 20,000 dollar scanner they would have it diagnosed in 15 minutes but would charge you an hour

by relay, I take it you mean the fuse box relay? Mine's doing the same thing, and I'll be replacing the speed sensor in a week or so...

more details.. mine is coming on randomly now
This (ABS) is one of of the problems I would pay 1 hour diagnostic fee for the dealer (approx. $100).
Either that or you can guess which one of the following and start spending money:
- ABS sensors (4 of them);
- ABS main pump relay, ASC relay
- ABS pump (expensive)
good luck
