Anyone out there with a similar setup on an e36 325is(1994)--eibach prokit springs and bilstein sport shocks---and what size tires are you running?
I am considering Pirelli P Zero Nero's as my #1 choice and Avon Tech M550 a/s as #2 choice after talking with a tirerack rep. I am a pretty spirited driver and like to push the car hard through corners and on-ramps(90mph).
I do not want the tires to rub and I do not plan on rolling the fenders.
Also, give me your input on the tire choices, if you are familiar with either tire.
wheels are OEM BMW DOUBLE SPOKE II WHEELS

so you have 2 pairs of DSII fronts? because DSIIs come staggard(8.5 rear).

id say Kumho MX in stock size, 225/45/17 but for the optimum sizing in a similar tire since the mx doesnt come in this size, i recommend Toyo T1-Rs in 235/40/17 all around. [indian accent]Take it easy on the onramps and have a nice day[/indian accent]

the overall rolling diameter of a 215/45-17 is the closest thing to the 325's stock tire size diameter. The 235's will work too but 215's will have no effect on speedo/odo.

I actually have my eyes on Pirelli P Zero Nero's. How do these 2 tire brands compare to Pirelli in your opinion? Cost is the least of my concerns.

215's are probably too small and would probably not look too good on 7.5x17" rims.
Most people have suggested 225/45/17 and I think I am going to go with that size.
thanks

wont they rub though with that setup since the car is so low, unless of course I add one more spring pad in the rear?

No, they won't rub, I just put 225/45/17 BFG Gforce T/As on my car and they fit fine. I changed from a 235/40/17. I love them. The BFG gforce had an outstanding rating from tirerack, did you give them a thought?

I have owned the P zero nero's and the Avon Tech M-500 and the Avon's win hands down. Don't get the all season 550's, get the M-500, pure summer performance tire. Great handling, good in wet traction, quiet and economical. What more could you ask for?

225/45-17 is the correct fitment for 17x7.5 on an e36. I run S-03s for my daily driving. They're fantastic for haring around highway ramps and other street conditions and they perform reasonably well on the track and in the wet, too. I personally think these are the best high performance street setup with long-ish tread life.

On the other hand, a buddy of mine is hooked on the Hankook Z212s. He uses them for autocross and says they're nearly as sticky as a track tire, but barely over $100 each as compared to nearly $200 for most of the similar models. I don't know if these are available in 225/45, but they for sure come in 235/40 size.
