Will these fit?

I dont know much about wheels/tires fitting etc. so bare (sp) with me.......

im looking at these wheels for my 99 328i e46.... wheels (http://www.tirerack.com/servlet/CallJsp?target=wheelSearchCloseUp&wheelIndex=10&sizeIndex=0&showRear=no&setIndex=2&filterSize=16&filterFinish=&filterSpecial=Pricing)

says the reccomended tire size is 225/50-16 but my tires are 205/55-16...
will this fit my current tires or will i need new ones? also is the offset (+40) ok for my vehicle?

Those wheels will fit with either the 205/55R16 or 225/50R16 tires. If I can help let me know.
