Swirled Paint

Has anyone ever owned an e34 or any other BMW and had strange "swirl or scratch marks" ( the color is sterling silver) in the paint?? After i wax the car with a buffer they go away, but quickly return if it rains or after a week of daily driving. Is there anything i can do to remove these swirls or is it timer for a new paint job.

The wax you use covers the swirls (most carnubas have this ability). When it rains or after a week of driving, enough of the wax is consumed that the swirls resurface.

If you've got a polisher or are willing to do it by hand (do not use a cheap buffer as these do not generate enough speed nor do they have sufficient power) you could use a swirl mark remover or other diminishing abrasive polish to remove them.
