Hey guys, i m driving a e36 325 wanted to change my exhaust system means the Piping, mid box, cateletic converter and ect ect.. Becos i realise there is 2 mid box 2 cat convert and the original muffler too ugly ... So wat i plan is that change the whole piping. But wat kind of setup that i should go for??
My car is old 1994.. So i think the exhaust system should change soon.. I tough of changing to 2.5 inch ? change to 1 center bullet and proberly tanebe muffler ? Most important is that i dun like twin piping i just need 1 stainless steel piping... Is this gonna work ?? I m looking for improve HP i dun mind the exhaust getting louder.. I like the sound....
Hope to hear some valueble feedback from u guys....

No one here runs Tanabe - that's more of a Japanese thing. Do a simple search for exhaust. No exhaust for your 325 will make more than slightly noticeable gains.

yes, flow pattern will change so will energy transfer (sound)
but remember exhaust has a very minimal gain for BMW.
Looks like you coming from a JDM tunning mentality with the larger piping idea. That is fine, as long as fit/finish are up to standard. Most guys on here in the USA do not bother with pipping englargment we usually run a catback exhaust with the stock pipping/cat.
We have what they call the Track-Pipe, which elimnates the cat section. Its for M3 but I'm not sure about 3xx application [double check me]. I don't believe you will have any emission concern down in Malaysia?
good luck mang,

it would be an interesting cut-up job to get the E46 M3 muffler to work on our cars.
try and grab a E36 M3 muffler for cheap, that is a bolt-on, no mods needed.
you can do the search thing and find many many many posts about exhausts, good luck.

hmnmm i have already taken out my 2 cat out ... A little bit louder sound from outside of the car , but inside the car hardly hear anything but slidely louder compare with CATH ... But i m not sure about FC yet let me drive a week then have result.. i personally feel that the respond is faster when i rev from 1k to 3krpm wat i mean repsond better is that my rpm move faster

Why exhausts so expensive for BMWs? For my trans am they're about $400+ and it seems like theres a lot more material used in those also and all the systems I've seen for BMWs have been $600+.

just put a M3 muffler and call it a day, unless you just want your exhaust to be louder, then remove the cat, leave at least the mid, and you should see min gains. i personally think the Bmw stock headers, exhaust are excellent quality and a lot less restrictive compare to stock on other cars. Now if your planning on going turbo then yes def change the entire exhaust system.
