about to buy a 87 325i conv.

hey guys,

i usually prowl around the m3 side of town but i'm tradin her in (no more payments thank god) for a 87 325i conv. is there anything i should look for specifically in the engine compartment? i drove her and she runs pretty strong. she has 140,000 miles on her. i did a carfax and it turns up clean.

There are a lot of threads that cover buying an E30 in the section, search around there, as there is some really good stuff. :)


Look for oil leaks, you can expect some, but you don't want to have to be replacing lots of seals (some are pretty easy). Make sure everything sounds good, and make sure everything looks good (no stripped wires, no big rust spots, no cracks etc.).
