Reprogramming Transmission.

anyone know how much it would cost to reprogram the trans for the hard 1-2 2-3 shift? and to reprogram the front right window to do the auto up feature.

As far as transmission software, there are a few chips out there, from dinan and the like. As far as the window feature, I think that is actually a relay; it's not like there is a microcontroller powering the window motor. That would just be absurd. What car are you attempting to reprogram? I didn't see a BMW in your info.

its for a 99 e39 528i. auto trans. there is a TSB on the hard shifting, i dont want any performance software as it isnt my car. i just want shift quality to improve. as for the window, each door has its own door module. and is controled by the master switch. it encompasses the anti trap sensor. i thought it was the anti trap sensor or the window switch it self, so i replaced them. i tried to reset the switches. the dealer can reprogram the module to allow 1 touch.
