It is a scam. I posted a WTB ad in Craig's List and received a scam from someone claiming to have an E36 M3 in Italy for $5000 with a Lufthansa connection to ship it here (airmail?). Same Square Trade nonsense.

The authorities need to start catching these people and prosecuting them. I get a Nigerian inheritance or a verify bank account information scam e-mail once a week.

I get the same email. The only reason I asked was because he offered to use an escrow company. Like I said in my response to him was if I saw the car in person on the port I would have cash in hand. I knew it was too good to be true but figured I would ask. Anyways thanks for the info everyone.

SquareTrade will not insure amounts over $500, I believe. Also, all SquareTrade Insured purchases must be made using a credit card.

He doesn't own SquareTrade. eBay owns SquareTrade.
