my first post here.
just a thanks for the DIY sticky, links and decent search engine.
its been extremely helpful during my first 2 weeks of 328i ownership (A/C control repair and a new clutch install).

the clutch job wasn't the easiest I've ever done (took all weekend) broke a few bolts ect. but she's back together and ready to beam me to work on monday :)

Welcome to BFC. Make sure you just use the search function before posting things. If you don't, expect a hounding from the mods.

thanks for the welcome,
no problem, I don't mind searching (the search engine seems to work pretty well here) I've already found answers to several other questions.
the re-soldering of the A/C control board was a lifesaver (with the weather we're having).
I've been playing/working on cars for years so I shouldn't be asking (too many) silly questions.

thanks guys,
I was really impressed with the quality of the DIY pages, very well written/good pic's ect.
since I'm a DIY kinda person this site and the links to other webpages have been (and probably will be in the future) a excellent source for info.
it also looks like it will save me a alot of $$$$ (had to visit the dealer today for the radio code, thats one expensive 5 digit number).
now if I could only find a cheaper 4 wire O2 sensor. why oh why did they have to use four of those things! (going to try cleaning the after cat O2's, already replaced the front's).
so far I like the 328i, feels nimble, with a fair amount of power, ride is a nice compomise between sporty and comfortable, got 28mpg at the last fillup, so I guess I'm pretty happy with it.
