Extra Wire Near Rear Windshield?

Underneath the C-pillar on my passenger's side, I found this wire... I would think it would have something to do with the defroster, but I believe my defroster works fine. What is it (the black one)? Thanks.

My 93 is like that too.

On a 95 there is a box on that side too and the wire is connected.

I have a box there in my 4DR. It has something to do with the defroster and the antenna for the radio.
