im trying to remove my seats and in my haynes manuel it says to disable the seat belt tensioning system and to look for a green light that tells that its on. i canot find this or the green light can anyone help please, thanks

I know you're new and all, but next time try using the search (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=372112&highlight=seat+removal) feature before creating a thread. There's a very good chance your question has already been asked and answered.

I'd throw away the Haynes manual and pick up a Bentley. :)

Just unbolt the four bolts on each seat, (2 in front, 2 in back) then unplug the wiring harness underneath. As long as you dont turn on the ignition while the seats are out, you shouldnt get any type of light. Just be sure to turn the car off, take the seats out, do what ya gotta do, then plug them back in and reinstall before you turn the car back on.

I just replaced my seats. Plugs dont match up :confused One in the car is a 2 wire and the one on the seat is a 3 wire?!?

Any idea's what I should do?

Hmmm...are they power/heated factory seats? What are you replacing them with?

Soooo can I just delete the heated wire and rewire plug so I can connect? Do you know what color the wire is for heating part?

Hmmm...are they power/heated factory seats? What are you replacing them with?
I replaced cloth worn out seats from a 93 with leatherette non-sport stock seats from a 95.

where is the heated seat botton at and what does it look like?

I could have NEVER fixed up this bimmer for my girl with out this board!
