I recently lowered my car with the Koni Sport Kit and measured from the bottom of the wheel to the fender, before and after the drop.
Before there was a difference of 0.5 inch with the drivers side being higher and after I lowered it there is still the 0.5" difference.
What is causing this...does anyone else's car have this variance or just mine? I'm not sure what it could be...possibly the frame being bent or....what?
Any idea's??
Thanks in advance.

Don't worry. Everything is okay, E36s are just that cool.

So I'm guessing this is normal then? Anyone else have this?

I love it, handles much better although I'm surprised at how I feel every bump now. I'm going to post a review soon on the kit soon. For $795cdn there is not a better kit out there for the money...Koni yellow struts/shocks and vogtland springs....excellent kit.
Back to the topic though...anyone have any ideas?

Almost everyone with a suspension that has not been "evened out" side to side.

e36's are supposed to be slighter taller in the drivers side...
so that when u sit down, it evens out (with only you in the car)
pretty cool huh? notice how the windshield washer fluid, the battery, the blower, the ecu and the ac compressor and reciever are all on the passanger side? also how the engine is tiled toward the passanger side too?
all to aid in handling with just the driver in the car...

what's the height with someone sitting in the drivers seat, bmw offsets the front to account for the driver for better weight distribution. i.e. battery located on passenger side trunk.

I was kinda thinking exactly that...with just a driver in the car it's probably the same on both sides...those engineers thought of everything...
just wanted to make sure mine isn't the only one out there with the difference...
thanks for the help
