poof. smoke out of my intake manifold area

ok so i start my car up. never had any problems. and i hear a small poof sound. and smoke starts coming out of my hood. open hood. smoke from engine/intake manifold area. funny smell when i start the car now. no more smoke. what is the problem?

What color was the smoke?

check your radiator neck. Make sure you haven't lost any coolant. Is your car idling ok?

the idle is like 700-1k kinda bouncy like usual i guess. it was white smoke. i think there was alittle smell of coolant. uhh im scared. but i drove it, felt fine.

Just coolant burning off. I would definitly check around your radiator for a crack or coolant leak.

Hmm, a lil late I know, but I know Alex's car and it def. was not him. It was a 325is (knew due to front bumper) with Inspirations, tint, DDE's, and lip.

i havent checked up on the car. ive been in carmel this week. ill do it tomorrow. yea jonjon your talking about jacks car then. my car is the black 1 with contours, rarely goes out :-/ always being fixed.
