airbag light on????

The airbag light keeps coming on in my gauge cluster. It is on all the time now. Is this a common problem?? Anyone have similar problem?? What might cause this, and can I fix it myself?

You surely can if you know what the problem is. To get the code you need a PEAKE Research Air Bag scanner for which I think there is a group buy going on now on this tread (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=369317). Or you can go to dealer and have them read your Air Bag code. But keep in mind that 2 trips to dealer = one PEAKE scanner (cost wise).
