So anyway, my M/// Badge on my trunk is very faded and the red looks pink. I really want to replace it and stupid me bought one off of ebay which was very cheap looking and was nothing like the OEM one on the car. I would now like to actually purchase the OEM M badge but don't want to get ripped off by the dealer so was wondering if there is a cheaper place to buy it on line? If you can suggest a place I would appreciate it.
Does everyones M Badge colors fade? Or is it just me?
Thanks!

Try Pelican Parts
http://www.pelicanparts.com/BMW/index.htm
or Eagle Day
http://store.yahoo.com/eagleday/index.html
or Euro Depot
http://www.theeurodepot.com/index.html
They are all good to deal with and prices are usually better than a dealer.

what is the best way to switch these badges out? is it like the hood roundel, that just has two nipples that get stuck in holes? you can either drill a hole down the middle, or use something to pry it out?
My ///M is messed up. On the far left edge, the blue is like chipping off or it looks like the edge is...welll.....frayed. :)

It's stuck on using an adhesive. Most people use dental floss or fishing line held taught between their hands and "saw" through the adhesive under the emblem. Use some sort of cleaner and your fingers to remove the leftover gunk, then apply new decal. Make sure to re-wax surrounding area after using the cleaner on it.

Can I see a pic? I think the #46 one is different from the e36 right? I am interested.

Ok, I gave in and went to the dealer and bought the OEM one today. $43.00!!!! Dayum.... oh well.... I'm thinking of also putting some clear tape over the stripes so they last longer this time.
I now have the newer E46 style M/// for sale (like the one shown above) if anyone wants it. Make an offer and let me know, I can ship it right away. Thanks.

Try going to a local sign shop that does lamination for digital printing. You should be able to get a small piece of presure sensative laminate that will stick on. It should not yellow and will block UV to keep it from fading. If not there are a few other products that will work.

I just made one using the clear overlays for my palm pilot. Came out good. Thanks!
