I am trying to gauge interest on my ix. This has been my beloved project car, but I want to move to something else for a daily driver.

Specs I can remember...
1989 325ix auto
white 4 door 150,000miles

Timing belt was changed less than 200 miles ago.

When I got the car the front diff pinion gear was broken, so I just replaced the whole diff. I also installed new bilsten HDs all around with an Ireland Engineering rear sway bar. New Hawk HPS pads in front, new (metal masters?) pads in the rear.

The interior is black non sport leatherette, not heated. It has the ski bag trunk passthrough. The interior is quite possibly the cleaniest I have seen in an E30.

The exterior needs some work due to rust. I have already replaced the passenger side floor pan, but the rear quarter around the wheel arch and rockerpanel needs to be replaced on the passenger side. I have body panels already purchased but haven't taken the time or money to do it yet. I basically bought about half a cars work of body panels from Eurodepot.

The gas tank will only hold half capacity for some reason, but I also already have the tank purchased. I don't think this will take much work, so I will likely have it installed before selling.

I started out trying to make a good handling car that would get me to work when my modded E36 M3 wouldn't (snow). I also like the idea of just being able to drive the automatic trans and still drink a cup of coffee. I bought the car about a year ago. I drove it home and then put in on jackstands for about six months while I did the work. I was still in engineering school at the time and working full time, so my wrenching time was limited. I finally put it back on the road about 2 months ago, but still have driven it less than 500 miles. It does handle well, and its fun to drive.

I am officially out of school now (for good thank God). I am looking to take a job in Florida and snow will no longer be an issue. My dilemma now is whether I want to take the time and effort to finish the body work for a complete restoration before I sell. I suspect the money spent wouldn't raise the selling price enough to justify it. The car drives fine now. It just looks kind of ghetto because I have white duct tape holding the ix sideskirts in place.

I am fairly certain I want to sell the car outright, but I could also be up for trades on another 3 series ( with plus or minus cash depending on the trade). I have an overev S50 engine in my garage that would lend some cool parts to an M50 swap into another E30. I would love to find a good convertible to replace my snow car, maybe a miata, 325ic, or 318ic. Smile I might also be interested in a 1988 or newer tintop 3 series.

I would like to see $3,500 for everything including the extra bodywork and gas tank. The best way to reach me is by email redline@wk.net or you can call me at 270-210-1656. I am located in western KY, zip code is 42054.

I don’t have pics handy, but I can take some tonight for anyone that is interested.

Pics are here. Disregard the engine shots. Those are from my over reved S50.325ix (http://engineerchris.com/sale/photo_gallery.htm)

I need to get this thing moving. Make me an offer.
