I really really don't want to do it, but I must put my car up for sale. I've put over $10,000 into modifications and improvements. Here are the details....

I had the car on a dyno last fall and it put out 282HP / 306 lb/ft of torque to the wheels (approx 324HP at the engine - stock 282HP at the engine). Since then I've added the exhaust system so it should be pushing more now. I just had cooling system work done two months ago (replaced valley pan) and had the intake manifold gasket and valve cover gaskets replaced at the same time. The radiator is less than 1 year old. The car looks and drives amazing... I absoloutly love this car and hate to let her go. I'm asking $22,000 for her. If you would like any additional pictures please don't hesitate to ask. Actually, this is the FIRST time I've ever tried to sell this car. I put a post up a few months back asking what everyone thought it was worth, worrying that I may loose my job and be forced to sell it... everyone that posted thought that it was up for sale then, it was not. I wish I didn't have to sell it... I hope it goes to someone that will take good care of it.

I would prefer not to drive the car from Ohio to California unless your friend has already bought the car.


may I ask what kinda gas mileage you are getting?
I get between about 16 MPG in the city, Mid 20's on the highway. If you drive more conservatively than I do, those numbers are sure to increase.

You and me both! Despite all the interest on the forums, and all of the positive feedback from the car meets... nobody has even come to test drive the car yet! Everyone loves it, but nobody is jumping on it. I'll just have to be the one smiling when I drive it for now.

Yup.. I was really surprised at the numbers. Apparently these cars are underrated from the factory... I guess by a lot! Maybe it's a factory freak.

Yeah, it's been in autotrader for a couple of weeks... 9 pics onilne an the ad in the paper mag. I've sold many cars very quickly on autotrader before... I think the price scares people away because of all the mods, but someone will be looking for an e39 with a bunch of goodies for a bargain... they'll get it. If they bought one at blue book value and just added the AC Schnitzers, they would already be over my asking price, without the exhaust, suspension, intake, lights, ssk, cdv, interior mods and so on, and so on....

Well, the parting out has begun. I just made a deal to sell the M5 bumpers and exhaust. So, the car is available with all of the other mods including the AC Schnitzer wheels with new rear tires (265/30ZR19 Dunlop SP 9000's) for $19,500 FIRM. Or without the AC Schinitzer wheels for $17,000 FIRM.
