hey can someone take a pic of the vanos unit? im trying to sort out everything in the engine bay! thx :redspot

The VANOS unit is readily identifiable by the "lump" on the driver's side of the head & valve cover at the front of the engine. The VANOS unit adjusts the timing of the intake cam.
so yeah i should have just circled the bump. I did a 3 second paint shop circle to point the guy in the right direction. sry if i mislead you denverlicious

Chas, you keep pointing to the valve cover. The Vanos is underneath it along with the exhaust and instake cam sprockets. Get your act together man ;)
