Well, went with my father, and the PCA Northeast region on their Ramble to Lake George, NY. We drove like 200 miles of awesome roads to get there. My M3 kept up with some nice 911s very well, and alot of those porsche guys were very surprised. I loved my new suspension. However, i came to a stop sign on the route, at the top of a hill. The road it was abutting was flat, and the hill was sharp, so there was a crest that stuck up. I said to myself, im not getting over this, and i was right. I went prety slow, but the hill was steep, and about a foot after my front wheels crested the lip BANG. I hit the ground hard. You really really felt it in the cabin.

I thought to myself, that is a scenario that wont happen often, i might be ok. Then the next day, i went over a speed bump slowly, that wasnt very tall, and BANG. I hit again, this time even harder. It felt like it lifted the car a little.

I havnt jacked it up and looked at the damage, but the car drives fine. I think its hitting those two frame rails that come down right after the front wheels in the middle of the car.

Does anyone else have similar problems? Im not sure of the ride height, because i think it settled a little since the install. I'l go measure soon.

Uh, your car is way to low. I have no problems with speed bumps and I have a pretty damn low ride height.

I hit speed bumps sometimes too, feels awful but I dont think it damages anything. The lowest spot looks to be pretty tough. Lets see some pics of your ride height.

whats your ride height? my car is low too but I can usually make it over speed bumps/ect as long as I dont hit them head on. You have to take them at an angle.

I hit speed bumps sometimes as well but rarely. Just take them in an angle you should be fine. Make sure you get an xbrace on there so it protects your oil pan! GOOD LUCK

what a sickening feeling! Makes me cringe thinking about that sound! I've bottomed many times in the 7 years I've owned my car. As long as your going slow, you'll be OK.

Yeah, that feeling sucks. I hate when your going over it and your saying to yourself, "Oh sh*t". I am suprised that I haven't hit as many as I think I would as low as I am (Bilsteins/Sportlines). The only problem I have are the really big speed bumps.

What exactly is hitting the bump? I have the stock suspension and bottomed out pretty hard a couple of weeks ago. It is such a horrible noise and feeling!

i'l go measure my ride height, and take some pics as soon as i get a chance. I forgot to yesterday when i was working on the pickup. At least im not the only one who has had this happen. Iv been over quite a few speed bumps, but only hit once. I'l raise the car if i have to.

Thanks for the support
