The letter says it all...
Dearest Mini USA,
At long last I have received my Pure Silver Cooper S with racing stripes and couldn't be happier with the results from both a performance and aesthetic standpoint. Ah, 'Tis true that good things come in small packages. Many thanks. The reason for my correspondance today is to relay an unfortunate problem that seems to be prevalent within the new world of motoring. It happened today, on a street just like any other in America. I drove over what appeared to be an insignificant bump in the road and suddenly ---- CRRRAAAACK! Yep, it was the windshield alright. I have to admit, I was a bit dismayed that my brand new Mini now had a flaw - albeit temporary, but still a chink in the armor. Since I work as a distributor of high performance racing parts and my company, Turner Motorsport, races BMW's in World Challenge Touring Car events, I decided to call one of my colleagues who also owns a pair of Mini Cooper S's to see if they had experienced the same type of problem. In fact, they had! Between the 2 Minis they own, they have replaced 3 windshields. I'm not a dumb man, so I'd assume that you are already quite aware of this epidemic of relatively mini-proportion. Therefore, I will consider my communique to have been well received and will look forward to your response to the situation before too many windshields have been put to rest.
