i have a s52 bottom end that needs a piston (cyl3) replaced due to valve contact, but is otherwise in good shape. no cylinder scarring and the bottom end spins free. asking $1200+shipping for the complete bottom end with oil pan and oil filter housing.

How do you know there's no blockwall/piston/rod damage? Some bent vavles don't auto mean nothing else is damaged. 500mile drive....hmmm

well in this case it does. i cracked the head off and to my eyes i didnt see any damage what so ever. the motor actually ran so no thorwn rods there. checked the piston heads and i didnt see anything wrong. but again im not a mechanic. anyways i still think 1k is a great deal as seeing you could part the motor out for more. i jsut dont have enough time let me know thanks
