It doesn't hurt to ask. My partner (business associate) is willing to spend top dollar for a babied M3. Granted there is a small percentage of owners who would not redline their car, it doesn't hurt to ask.

I do agree though, I constantly take my cars to redline. No reason to buy an M3, M5, X5 etc if you aren't going to make full use of its compliments I suppose. ;)

The car has definitely never been abused. It has never been in an accident, never seen the track, never been modded, etc. As far as never seeing the redline, I can't say. I know it has not hit the rev limiter (I'm assuming it has one). It has most likely been very close to redline but probably never hit it (at least during my ownership). I don't exactly watch the tach when I'm driving, I shift by sound and feel. I think max power is made just before redline, so anything beyond that is essentially pointless. I believe I have it sold, although the transaction has not been finalized. As of right now, I will say that the car is "on hold." I have agreed to a deal that is dependent upon the other party completing the sale of his car by this coming Sunday, June 5th (to the best of his knowledge, this shouldn't be a problem). If his deal goes through, he gets my car. If not, it's on to the other interested parties (there are several). Let me know if you want me to keep you updated.

I have some some historical records and all since I've owned it - 13 months. Since I've owned it, all I've had to do is change the oil, though. I also put on the PS2s. Car has given me no trouble at all. It's currently parked at my parent's shop (German automotive repair shop). My dad has been maintaining it - he has 35+ years experience. Been driving my new car (sedan) as my new career (real estate) requires it. Can't have two cars right now...hopefully in 18 months I can buy a toy. Let me know if you need any more details. Thanks.
