I did a search but couldn't find any solutions........
I have a led light that turns on when WI is activated. Last week it did not turn on so I wanted to make sure it's a wiring problem & that WI is working properly. I disconnect the nozzle, zip tied it to a plastic bag & made a few runs. Popped the hood & no water in the bag. I found out that the fuse was out so I replaced it. Since this was the first time I'm testing to see if water does spray, I test it again. Made a few runs (light does turn on :) ), popped the hood & saw no water in the bag? I also disconnected the valve thing & no water was coming out. Could it be the pump not working? How do I check that?
The WI was already installed to the car when I bought it. I'm not really sure if WI has been working all this time. Yes, the light does turn on when I bought the car but doesn't necessarily mean it was working properly, hence my testing. Any suggestions? Thanks!

When system is on does the pump make noise?

When system is on does the pump make noise?
I'll check for that today, but most certain that there's no noise if I recall...

Check the pump first as Mikea suggested. If the pump works, try re-priming it.

That was my next suggestion....I had to re-prime mine a few times cause I let the tank get to low.

The red light, which I think is actually a series of lights, tells you if water is flowing or not. If the red lights are not coming on, no flow is occurring, at least in my system.
I agree with what MikeA said--re-prime--first.
In my system, which is trunk mounted, you need to disconnect the tubing from the pump and run the system (I usually hang a length of line out the trunk so it doesn't get everywhere), re-attach and prime again just before the water flow monitor. That will get rid of all the air.
If that doesn't work, or if you listen and the pump doesn't make noise when you turn the system on without the hoses connected, check to see if a fuse went out.
Hope this helps. I have had both situations in the past. Also, keep the thing at least one third full.

Thanks guys for all the help, WI is working now :buttrock
I had to re-prime the pump. Made a few runs, led light is on & water is in the plastic bag. Thanks again!
Gonna dyno it soon w/ Dinan sc, 6" Buldogge pulley, FMIC I/C & WI.

BTW, cant you trigger the pump while standing still, hood up? The pressure switch is a normally Closed switch.. When you break the connection, ie, pull one lead off the switch, the pump should trigger... I went further, and put an inline switch there, so to trigger-test, all I need to do is flip the switch. Its the best way to test for flow at the nozzle. Just unscrew the nozzle and trigger test it into the air. I have a 4" length of hose on my nozzle, attach to a quick release barrel connector. This allows me to quckly test for flow by just quick disconnecting the 4mm hose, holding it out to the side, and trigger testing. All of these methods are alot easier and quicker than the plastic bag while driving method. I even prefer using my mighty vac, if I want a real full pressure test, to a full run driving test.. its quicker :)

Thanks for the tip Paul...I'll give that a shot next time...
