I want it on my car, the type that you can manipulate from the side, making it higher and lower?
I put this in general discussions since thare are other models that may have had luck with finding some or know where to look for some. I have searched the archives.

Somewhere, rattling around in the back of my brain, I seem to rememebr that there was a lumbar retrofit kit for the Vader seats. Probably fits them all, but I seem to remember it from an M3 list years ago.
It did require quite a bit of work (about the same as adding the heated seat parts), but it was fixed in position.
Probably better to talk to your friendly auto-upholsterer.

cheaper option:go to miatamania.com, search for lumbar support. kinda ghetto
cheapest option: stuff an old towel into seatback and adjust until you find a confortable position.

I found the earlier thread with the e36 kit and part number : 52.10.9.404.379.
I googled the number and found a bmw dealer in thailand listing this part.
Anyone no where I can find this kit in USA. Otherwise, I might have to go with the miata kit or the inflatable made by corbeau.
Can't live with the seats as they are.
