s/c 325is vs m3

I was at the local street races tonite when a guy in a silver 325 pulled up next to me and asked me to run so I told him sure.

I figured that his car had to have lots of mods for him to be brave enough to ask an m3 to race and I later found out he had a sc and a 75 shot a ZEX nitrous. though he was still running bottle cap wheels and some skinny ass tires.

the race:

I take the launch easy since its easy to spin in my stripped m3 and I figured I could easily win the launch with my 235 tires vs his 205's. I quickly pull hard on him, by the time im at about the end of 2nd I look in my rear view to see him about 2 car lenghts behind. I ran to the end of 3rd with about 3 car lengths on him and still pulling.

after the race was over I talked to the guy and he was like DAMN I know your car isnt stock bc I usally smoke m3's and I showed him the stripped interior and the obd1 3.2l with a track pipe intake and headers.

This was also my first time to race another BMW. He may have done alot better if it wasnt for his blue neon lights and 2 subs and dvd player.

my friend has an AA supercharged 325 and I am getting ready to drop an obd1 3.2 in my car so I'm just wondering how I would stack up to him.

well I think a big part of it was he had lots of extra shit that added weight like subs and stuff and my car is completely stripped.

I run 8.3 1/8 mile at 85mph 2.0 60ft I havent hit the 1/4 yet but I raced a friend that runs 13.7 1/4's and beat him pretty good.

Damn, how much weight did you strip??? Must been a ton because from the sound of it your hanging with an e46 M3. Because there's noway in hell that headers and track pipes are gunna give you that much power.

If we're talking like 4-5 hundred pounds then very believable though.

I dunno how much weight maybe about 200lbs honestly my only mods are obd1 s52 with a track pipe, fpr, ssk, intake and aa software for the obd1 3.2

I saw this guy in Ft Worth before. I forgot his name I told him meet up with us sometime at the meets but he never came. I beat him in my car too.

I forgot to mention he had e46 m3 fender grills and 1 piece head lights :( though he bought all this he forgot to paint the sideskirts and change the stock wheels :confused
