Dad's friend is going to let me drive his E39 M5!

It may not sound like much to some of you who drive one every day, but for someone who has never riden in an M car AT ALL, this sounds AMAZING! MY dad's former boss and good friend is worth like 20 mill and he just bought a used E39 M5 (I wonder why he didn't wait for the new M5). I'm not sure of the year but my dad told me it's a dark blue with a cinnomon color interior. He and his son are big car fanatics as I am and he told my dad that we should all get together and talk cars and that he would let me DRIVE the M5! I was AMAZED when my dad told me this! Hahaha, it's been my dream to drive an M3 but in a few weekends (I'm out of town for this weekend and next) I'm going to drive an M5!!! Sorry guys, but I just had to post this up due to my excitement. :buttrock

Sweet deal, M5s are beasts, that motor has strong low end pull and it just keeps growing as you get into the upper rev band. I remember when I first drove an M5, thing was just stupid fast for a 4 door.

could just be avus (if it's a 1st yr. production) or it could be carbon black. not really an individual color. regardless, let us know. :)

Nice, just make sure you compare the differences between sport/non sport mode. I think on the E39 M's, the sport button not only increases throttle response, but makes the steering heavier. Maybe someone w/and M5 can chime in and clarify that.

It's most likely Le Mans Blue with Carmel interior... which is a standard combo.
