325 vs A3

I was on my way to school gettin to the highway and I see an A3 behind me right up my ***. So I was in 3rd and as soon as we changed lanes I floor it, I put about 3 CLs on him :redspot but WAIT I shift to 4th gear and he's PULLING on me :eyecrazy Im like WTF !!! So he pulls like 1,5 CLs and at the end of 4th I misshift the 5th and I shut it. I change to the right lane and turn my head and smile and give him a thumbs up, but this guy doesnt even look and just does a flyby. Well what an ******! :shifty Anyways he was defenately a turbo and Im guessin he was chipped too, prolly to 193hp / 260NM. Anyways I'm gettin my chip next week so he better watch next time! :devillook

Do you mean A4? Also a chip for a turboed car, makes a big difference. a Chip for our cars, do absolutely crap, except give us a few hundred more rpms and take away our govern. If you got spanked now, don't think by chipping your 325 you will spank him.

I didnt get spanked. I call it even cause he didnt pass by me. When I install a chip I´ll be pullin around 215hp (with intake), so If it was a 193/260 A3 I should easily take him out. :buttrock

the A3 1.8T are dangerous

they can bite an E46 M with some small $$ mods


but i dont like those cars much

i'd rather have a 325 instead

they react well. Im going to get a custom chip for my car which costs bout 350 - 900 euros depending on the options. for 400 euros they guarantee you at least

My friend saw a new A3 recently and apparently got to ride in it at some meet he went to for VW/Audi people in the Long Beach area where he goes to school. He said it was extremely quick.

Saw one coming off a trailer when I was at my dealer recently. It was all masked up for shipment, but I got to hear the exhaust and give it a casual looking over. Looked nice.

When you say "extremely quick," how extreme does your friend think it is?

Actually e36 series react better to software upgrades, hence a chip then my series does, e46. So with chip and intake and considering hes the euro version giving him more hp to start I wouldnt be suprised if he gained around 20-30. Depending on his engine and what chip he gets. I'll will definitely admit though a software upgrade of any kind for me does shite, I wouldnt beable to gain more than 5-10 hp If I'm lucky. I would know I have dinan stage 1 and 2.
