hey guys...i have read a whole lot on here about springs, shocks/struts and everything. my koni yellows adjustable are already on the way to my house, but i havent bought springs yet. if i buy H&R (which seems to be A+ on overall satisfaction), will i eventually want to lower my car some more? this is really buggin me. i am thinking about getting Intrax, but that may be too low. and i dont really want to get Eibach SS. any advice?

i think you'll be very happy with the H&R drop. i had the H&R springs for 3 years and loved the look. i always wanted to go lower and still want to go lower with my coilovers. the point being if you lower once you'll probably want to go lower again :) BUT the H&R drop is nice. iirc, the intrax or ground control springs have a larger drop if you're interested.

i have heard about intrax and gc, but everyone who has H&R says its a better ride quality. i dont want to look too aggressive like a ricer, but is it worth lowering an extra 1/2" - 1" while sacrificing some ride comfort and quality. also, lowering anymore than 1.5" will require me to be attentive to my tire wear and possible force me to upgrade camber plates. <sigh> too many options!

i hear all that, man. the ride with my H&R springs was pretty good. the drop is nice, i say stick with H&R you can't beat the quality. looking at the H&R catalog, they do have a 540i race spring which will drop you 1.7/1.2 fr/rr. so that might be another option if you want to go lower.

You mean 245/40 ?
I think with 245's you'll be happy with H&R's. But if you had fatter rubber in the rear, I'd go lower as wide tires look "funny" with a big gap.

I've had the following suspensions... H&R/Bilstein, H&R Coilovers, GC/Koni coilovers. I would say the most closest to stock ride is the GC setup. It is very comfortable... The H&R coilovers are pretty firm.

Now what do you mean by looking too aggressive like a ricer?
