Ok need some opinions - I like em both. My car is getting painted this color in a about 2-3 weeks and not sure if I want to paint the bumper and door trim. What do you think??
Top one or bottom one?

I personally like the black trim on mine, I think it adds to the clean lines. I don't think you can go wrong either way though.
Just don't get wax on the black trim, it's a PITA to remove.

Leave it black matches with the black trim on the window sillsYou're right, now that you say that, I think that's what I like about mine. It goes well with the shadowline trim on the windows, especially on a blue car.

think you guys might be right - although on my previous 3 er (sig) it looked really good painted.

I agree, painted looks better on the 3er, but it's a close call on the 5er.

Black trim looks really good on blue. If it were a lighter color, I would probably paint it.

I'm going to take mine off and have them painted this spring. The 03's came with them painted and I think it looks a lot better that way, on a silver car anyway. Especially after I install the RaceMesh in the lower spoiler opening.

my opinion: black is sportier...painted is more elegant. and i think you're going for the sporty look :)

I disagree, I did have my front trim painted when I installed the M5 bumper. Didn't like it so I went back to the dealer and bought the trim and left it black. Looked weird to me. :dunno

I personally like the painted trim better.
From a practical point, if you ever need to replace a piece, it would be much easier to replace black trim as it does not have to painted to match.

On most cars I think painted trim looks better. Just looks more modern. But on a blue car with the M bumpers it's a tough call. If it were me I'd still get it painted.

Definitely black. I just finished replacing my front bumper today and until i installed the black trim pieces, for some reason it just didn't look right (looked bland). Having all the trim pieces painted may look modern, but on the 5 series it just makes the car look less sporty in my opinion.

Leave it black.
