Insurance Diminished Value question

So i got a check from the insurance company. It's for the amount of the estimate but there's going to be more. Should i call up and ask about diminished value of the car? There's going to be a blemish on the car with this accident and if i was ever to think about selling the car it might cost me. it's like would you screw a girl with STD? Let me know of some previous experiences. thanks!

I think it depends on the state. Some states allow for the coverage of diminished value, while others don't.

yes but it depends if the shop has time! i've already waited 2 days for them to get me a quote on the bumper. it's a good shop (i hope) so now it's the waiting game. :( i just want it to be ready for the Philly meet.

BTW:CDV is a no-go for now. going to wait for Dave to catch up and see if there's a weekend available.
