I've been looking for an adjustable rear swaybar for the E34. The largest size I have seen from any manufacturer so far is 20mm. I have been having discussions with www.whiteline.com.au and they say they could make a 22mm rear bar, but advise against it becasue the car will oversteer too much.

Is 20mm the most you would ever want in one of these cars, or would a 22mm rear swaybar be a good idea. The front swaybar is a whiteline adjustable 27mm bar.

Is anyone here running a 22mm?

While I can't tell you exactly what would happen on your E34, I can say that running a 28mm front and an 18mm rear sway bar on a 525 E39 results in a small amount of oversteer. So it seems that your vendors concern over excessive oversteer with a 22mm rear might be justified. Adjustable front camber plates might get you back to neutral handling, at the expense of increased front tire wear.

thanks for the reply. most people I talk to say that it would be too big for the car, might get the 20mm after all.
