I've got a '96 M3 that's spectacular. I've replaced just about everything and kept the motor up beyond recommended maintenance. It burns some oil, but runs great. With 102,000 miles and the likelihood of keeping it, I wonder if an engine rebuild down the road might be something to look at to restore the engine to pristine condition.
Has anyone done that and what's involved (valves job, pistons/rings, gaskets of course, bearings?)?
