*short version* Car keeps blowing break light circuit fuse car won't restart unless I replace the fuse. Need help figuring out what causes that.

*Detailed version* So here is the deal. Friday night I had the OBC tell me the brake light circuit was out. So I pulled over turned the car off and back on and the indication was gone. Went along and everything was fine.

Saturday on the highway once again the brake light circuit indication comes on and next I realized that the gas and temp gauges are not working. (pointing to the extreme left) Once again pulled over turned the car off and when I go to turn the car back on nothing. Absolutely nothing no crank nothing. After looking under the hood I realized that the brake light circuit fuse is blown. After having my buddy tow my car back into town I replace the fuse and viola the car starts again.

Well all was good until Saturday night when I used my car again. After breaking a couple of times the check light comes on and so does the brake light circuit indication, along with dead gauges and not being able to restart the car.

So my question is what is causing the fuse to blow other than more amps than it can handle. Any help is highly appreciated, TIA.

Sounds like youve got a short in your trunk lid wiring. I believe the thread is a sticky now but do a search. Its quite common.
