whatever happened to the E60 M5? there was alot of hype a while back, then all of a sudden everything died down with no sign of it. i thought the car was supposed to come out at the end of 2004? ...no?

The magazines all got to drive a fleet of press cars. If you notice, nearly all the magazine articles were written based on experience at the same two or three press events. There has been a slight delay in the release, but it wasn't supposed to come out till later this year anyway.

Just none in showrooms yet.

It has been delayed because of a fuel pump problem or some such. Was supposed to debut April 2005, now maybe June???

as far as i know they have already been released in europe, not 100% sure though. and some guy posted a while back in the rides section, some pics of the e60 m5 in a parking lot somewhere in cali. there were actually a few of them.

strange. anyways, i hope the M5 delay doesnt postpone the M6 release. that's gonna be my next car when i sell my E46 M3.

hi guys, first time poster here, i usually drop in to see whats new on the board, i have a 1995 e34 525i just in case anyone wanted to know, and as far as i know, the e60 m5 is already available in europe, there is one for sale right now for 80,000 pounds, oh and my friend drove it and its a dream.

OH SHIT, I DROVE BY ONE OF THOSE EXOTIC CAR DEALERS, AND THERE IT WAS A SILVER E60 M5 FOR $160,000!!!!! :eek:

Wait a minute........about 4 weeks ago I saw an M5 with the new 5 series body style. How can that be if they're not due to land in the US 'til 06?

i'm in the UAE(united arab emirates), so we get cars same time they come out in europe. I think the U.S gets M cars late.
