Can someone with a S62 please take some photos of the engine mounts, and layout of their bay? Throttle linkages and the like for http://bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=338163
?

Cheers

The 540i M62 setup is identical to S62 for this interfacing componentry you're concerned about....aftermarket part#'s & everything. The motor mounts, tranny mounts and clutch system are virtually identical. The only clutch difference is a slight tweak to the slave cylinder bore & some (inadequate) tweaks to the pressure plate. The hall effect ignition timing componentry on the flywheel differs slightly.

Any idea what differences are from M60 to M62? Exhaust headers & mounts specifically?

You can get a M60 in a E36, so could you assume a M62 will fit also? Same bottom end construction apart from larger capacity and different heads because of single vanos?

Or are they totally different? :)

There is a 7 page thread on M62 transplant into E36. It is a monsterous job.
