I have a question for people that used to sell used cars.

What determines the pricing of a used car?

How come you can go to one car lot, and see two identical used cars. Nearly same mileage, same conditon, same accessories and yet the selling price can be different? The only difference is in the color. I know color can affect pricing (but not by $1-3,000), but sometimes the color is also identical.

I looked at the condition of the cars and even crawled (halfway) under them for a brief visual inspection and don't see any mechanical problems.

Is it that they paid less for one than the other?

:ponder Just curious, but if any of you former cars salesmen can enlighten me (and the rest of us) that would be great!!

Thank you!! :thanks:

pics of the M5 or ban :D

some of the dealers are pricks who bump prices up through the roof :(

when for instance here in NY i went to check out a 328is 98 with the ///M badge in the back :rofl

and the car had about 108k miles omg that thing was beat senseless it was hit front and rear everything had to be replaced the radiator blew up waterpump it was changed but like the housing wasnt so there was a big chunk missing there etc

some wires were missing from the engine things not connected rode like it didnt have suspension turned horribly engine was smooth though and had tinted windows he wanted 10k for it :eek2 i was amazed to find a prick like him i mean the car needed @ least 5 k in fixing thats why used car dealers suck balls

anyway back to the pics :buttrock
