I have a question for people that used to sell used cars.
What determines the pricing of a used car?
How come you can go to one car lot, and see two identical used cars. Nearly same mileage, same conditon, same accessories and yet the selling price can be different? The only difference is in the color. I know color can affect pricing (but not by $1-3,000), but sometimes the color is also identical.
I looked at the condition of the cars and even crawled (halfway) under them for a brief visual inspection and don't see any mechanical problems.
Is it that they paid less for one than the other?
:ponder Just curious, but if any of you former cars salesmen can enlighten me (and the rest of us) that would be great!!
Thank you!! :thanks:
