1997 540 - My LT power seat and steering wheel adjustment quit working. The RT seat still operates fine. Are they fused seperately? Where are the fuses located? I looked at the panel in the trunk but did not see anything listed for the LT seat. Any other problem it could be? Just seemed odd that the steering wheel adjustment quit too.

Have you checked your owner's manual? Lots of pictures and interesting reading! May even show you exactly where this fuse is located.

Thats wierd, the same thing happened to my 97 528i tonight. Steering wheel column and driver's seat quit working. Checked the fuse in the glove box compartment and it is fine. Did u find a fix for this? PM me please!

The problem was the plug that goes into the LT power seat switch. It worked its way loose over time. I plugged it back in and everything works fine now. It's amazing how the seat plug causes the steering column not to adjust.
