I drive too fast for my loud exhaust!..what sounds mellow?

I am looking for more mellow sounding exhaust for my E36 M3. When I bought it it came w/ a new stainless after market exhaust. I tried to see what kind it is...no luck it has straight short tips and the body is square w/ rounded edges. Anyway it's too damn loud. I drive fast ALL the time and it attracts way too much attention... Got pulled over 2 times after I was drinking...lucky I passed the raod side :buttrock. Anyway it just attracts way too much of the WRONG type of attention. Since I drive fast all the time it looks like I am showing off...I'm not, I amjust driving it like I anything else that I drive w/ na engine W.O. Plus, I keep my back seats down to hear my sub in the trunck which makes it extra loud in the whole cabin... souds like I'm track side at the INDY, not cool for a daily driver or conversation w/ a hottie.... I could go back to stock but don't want to loose the HP gain. Any suggestions??? :help

go back to stock m3 exhaust or get urself a supersprint or AA tuning exhaust... AA is slightly louder than the supersprint.

well, I had a very loud exhaust and I replaced it with a Stromung. They are a nice quiet exhaust at idle and at cruising speeds without sounding totally neutered at WOT. However, don't be driving after you've been drinking . . . I lost a friend due to a drunk driver and it's not something you should try to be getting away with. People who drink and drive should just be shot before they kill others.

Thanks for your advice. I always drive a lot more cautiously when I am drunk because I don't want any trouble. I am sorry about your freind and with all due respect you do not have to worry about me when I am pissed. But you better get out of the way when I coming home from work, going to work, getting milk, driving to the bar, going to work out, or just playin' around. Because My car has 2 speeds when I am sobber...stop and WO. Anyway thanks for the suggestions...anymore?

Driving drunk is way more dangerous than speeding. Also, it depends on what kind of speeding you are talking about. If you mean someone doing 150 in a school zone, then yes, they should be shot too.

35 in a 25 is magnitudes of difference.

And I second the notion that this guy is immature with some sort of imbalance. Have to laugh at the line "I drive very carefully when I'm drunk." :confused Anyone who convinces themselves of that is a Darwin award waiting to happen.
