is the relay making a little click sound or is it something else?

Fog lights will only come on when you have the low beams on, so pull the light switch out and then hit the fog lights button. If still nothing, take out the multimeter and start checkin connectors and wires. Also check for rust and calcuim build up in the sockets and connectors(very common issue on '80s BMWs).

Bimmerfanatic,

My fog lights work perfectly, but whenever I turn them on, I don't get the green light comming on in the cluster. I'm wondering if this is the same problem about my oil temperature gauge not working. I'm going to remove the cluster sometime in the near future and resolder some of the connections. I think that is my problem, unless there is a broken wire somewhere.

Do you have any ideas?

The bulb goes out. It's a easy fix if you have a spare cluster on hand with all the bulbs and all.

Don't know about the oil pressure sensor stuff. Never had one.

(BTW, chrome bumpered E30s look ghetto with those bolt-on fogs)
