Their webpage says they have 30 miles on the car and they already strapped it to the dyno in search of more power...
I'm guessing they didn't read the part about the break in period?!?!?:95

why oh why does everybody get the white roof? ehhh, whatever. That does seem kind of odd that they've got that thing on the dyno with 30 miles on it  I read on mini2.com that the usually simple pulley swap isn't so simple on the Cooper... apparently the entire SC unit has to be removed from the car to do the swap... :dunno

I believe it... the engine compartment on the mini is extremely crampt... I mean extremely! The area is so tight it looks like you have to drop the engine to do any of the maintanence, reminds me of the Porsche. To change the sparkplugs you have to drop the engine...

Yeah, I remember looking in the engine compartment at the LA Auto Show and thinking, "How the hell do you work on this thing?" It seems like if you dropped a wrench or somethin it wouldn't even come out the bottom, but you'd have no idea where it got stuck

Well, it's a good thing the car comes with free maintenance for 3 years and the warranty runs for 4 years!

Sounds like the oil cap on the M5s. If you drop the oil cap down in the engine, the car won't run and the oil cap won't come out of the bottom because the bottom is sealed. BMW Roadside has to come out and bring you a new oil cap or tow the car.

Heh, yeah, I sure hope Turner doesn't do anything too hastily with the car...but they're pretty good with things so we'll see :az:
As for the engine compartment, ya, it's pretty small, everything about that car is small

Hey now! The interior is very large for the size of the car... its got more interior room than an e36 if I'm not mistaken.

Maybe for the front passengers! I don't think you'd get that same opinion from people stuck in the back.
