I recently got my car back from the body shop. For a while I noticed that the clutch was being weird. I'm not sure if it's a slipping clutch or something else...But when I press the gas pedal, my RPM's go higher than my speedometer, I've heard this may be caused due to a slipping clutch. This morning, I started my car and it started to drown or something, just sound really weird and it died, I turned it back on and it was fine. The idle went up and down and did that for a while. I'm not sure why it did this. Also, does anyone know how much a new clutch/flywheel will cost, If I do go this route, I have warranty on my clutch and motor, so I may just let my stock clutch turn ugly so I can get a new one. Could there be something wrong with my engine or something, a few weeks ago it was running strong but I think it's mainly my clutch, it sorta feels slower now, because it's not going faster, RPM's go high really fast compared to my speedometer. I will be doing the install myself, so I was thinking maybe $700 in parts, are used parts as good as new parts?? Thanks, please inform me on this, because I wanna know.

Cruise at about 40mph and then rev it and put it in 5th. If the rpms take a while to come down your clutch is slipping.

Cruise at low speed around 20-25, off the throttle, put the car in 3rd and pull the handbrake. If you stall immediately it's not the clutch gone bad.
