Can anyone tell me how to remove the rear headrests from a '99 M3? I'm trying to swap my speaker out. The Bentley manual has nothing on it!
Thanks,
Greg :confused

Just pull hard on them . Don't smash you head liner but really they just pull out.

You may have to remove your rear console (or at least pick it the front section ). The headrests are held in with a clip that hold the bars in place in the round cylinder which they rest in. You can try to pull really hard but if that doesn't work you need to remove the clips which once you get under there you can do so with a screw driver. Hope this helped.

I carefully sprayed some silicon spray down there after nearly ripping the headrests apart trying to pull them out.
after a bit, they finally came out. now they come out easily...I think they get a bit of rust or whatnot on them, so I take them out when I clean the interior.
